Switch ChanTan Studio between Light, Dark and System in a couple of taps — and learn how to add a dark mode switch to the website you build.
ChanTan Studio comes in Light and Dark. It's a personal preference and it's saved to your account, so it follows you to any device you sign in on.
1. Flip it instantly from the header
Look for the moon / sun icon in the header at the top of the screen and press it.
The whole Studio switches instantly. Nothing else changes. If that's all you wanted, you're done — step 2 is for choosing "System" instead of a fixed look.
2. Open "Appearance & language" in Settings
Open Settings, then the "Account" section, and find "Appearance & language".
3. Choose Light, Dark or System
Under "Theme" you get three choices:

| "Dark" | Always the dark look |
| "System" | Follows whatever your computer or phone is set to — dark at night if your device does that |
✅ Done! The Studio is now in the look you picked, and it stays that way every time you sign in — on your laptop, your phone, anywhere.
What this does not change
Your theme choice only affects the Studio you work in. It does not touch:
- The apps and websites you build
- What your visitors see
- The language of the interface — that's a separate picker right next to it
⚠️ Your built app does not follow your phone's dark mode. Apps are built with one deliberate look — the design you asked for. If you want light and dark inside your own site, you have to ask for it (next section).
Adding dark mode to the website you build
This is not a setting. You just ask the AI in the project chat:
"Add a dark mode toggle to my site."
The AI builds a real switch into your site that your visitors can use. You can be as specific as you like — "make the dark version use deep blue instead of black" works too.
Like every other change, it's saved as a version, so Undo puts it back if you don't like it.
While you're in "Appearance & language"
The same section holds "App language" — English · العربية · Français · Español · ไทย. The note under it matters: "Changes the app interface — not the sites you build."
Arabic is shown left-to-right on purpose — only the words are translated, the layout never mirrors, so nothing moves from where you expect it.
If something looks wrong

Honest limits
- There's no font size or accessibility scaling control in the Studio today — use your browser's own zoom.
- Light and Dark are the only two looks. There are no colour themes or custom Studio colours.
- Your site's design is set by what you asked the AI to build. To change it, describe the look you want in the chat.
