How to Call the ChanTan AI Expert (Voice)

Don't know how to describe your idea? Call a ChanTan AI expert, talk it through in your own language, and they write your full build request for you.

Last updated: Fri Aug 21 2026 07:00:00 GMT+0700 (Indochina Time)

If you know you want an app but can't put it into words, you can call a ChanTan AI expert. They pick up, ask you questions one at a time, and then write your build request for you.

Two things people mix up:

  • A call โ€” someone talks back to you. It costs credits by the minute.
  • The microphone โ€” you speak, your words appear as text. Nobody talks back. About 1 credit.

Good to know before you start: opening the call window costs nothing, and cancelling while it's still ringing costs nothing.

1. Open the call from your dashboard

On your dashboard, under the big heading, look for the pill with four faces and the line "Not sure how to start? Talk to a ChanTan AI". Press the blue "Call us" button.

A window titled "ChanTan AI Expert" opens.

โš ๏ธ This lives on the dashboard only. There is no "Call us" button inside a project.

2. Pick who you want to talk to

You're asked "Who would you like to talk to?" โ€” choose Fatima, Salma, Ahmed or Youssef.

They all follow exactly the same process, so pick whoever you like.

3. Pick your language

Next: "Which language?" โ€” quick tiles for ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง English, ๐Ÿ•Œ ุงู„ุนุฑุจูŠุฉ and ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท Franรงais, plus "More" for the rest. 14 languages are available โ€” 21 choices once you count regional varieties such as Moroccan Darija, Egyptian Arabic and Tachelhit.

If your language has more than one variety, "Which dialect?" appears:

Language Varieties
Arabic ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Darija, Egyptian, Standard, Gulf, Levantine
Tamazight Tachelhit, Central Atlas, Tarifit
Portuguese Brazilian, European
English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Malay, Hindi, Thai, Russian, Indonesian, German, Japanese one each

4. Press "Call {name}"

Press the green "Call {name}" button.

You hear a real ringing tone and see "Calling {name}โ€ฆ" with "One second โ€” connecting you ๐Ÿ˜Š". The screen only becomes a live call once the expert actually starts speaking. Pressing "Cancel" at this point costs you nothing.

5. Talk โ€” one question at a time

You'll see a timer and a sound wave, plus what's happening right now: "Listening to you ๐Ÿ‘‚", "{name} is talking ๐Ÿ’ฌ", or "Go ahead โ€” just talk ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ". You also have "Mute" and "End".

The expert asks about your idea one question at a time โ€” what you want to build, who it's for, your business name, the pages, the features, the style. Then it repeats everything back in a few short points and asks if you'd like to change anything.

โš ๏ธ The website's language is asked separately. Calling in Darija does not automatically make your site Darija. The expert asks which language the finished site's text should be in โ€” just say so.

6. Build it, or hang up and build later

When your request is ready, a green line appears inside the call window: "โœ“ Your request is written ยท ๐ŸŒ site language: {language} โ€” press Build it now, or keep talking to change anything."

You have two choices:

  • Press "โœจ Build it now" โ€” the build starts straight away.
  • Press "End" โ€” your request drops into the dashboard box with the message "Your prompt is ready โ€” press Generate to build it." Then press "Generate".

You can keep changing your mind while still on the call. The newest version always replaces the old one.

โœ… Done! Either your build has started, or your written request is sitting in the dashboard prompt box waiting for you to press "Generate".

What a call costs

Thing Value
Maximum call length 60 minutes
Warning before the end A banner about 2 minutes before
What happens at the limit The call ends politely โ€” your request is written and saved first, then the call closes
Held when the call starts Enough for a full-length call (about 225 credits at today's settings)
What you actually pay By how long you talked โ€” roughly 4 credits a minute, so a 10-minute call is about 38 credits
Unused hold Comes back to your balance as soon as the call closes
If you close the tab mid-call You pay only for the minutes you really talked
If you cancel while it's ringing Nothing is charged

You need enough credits for the hold, or the call refuses to start.

What the expert will and won't do

  • It collects your idea and writes the request. That's the whole job.
  • It never builds during the call โ€” building starts when you press "โœจ Build it now" or "Generate".
  • It never hangs up on you. Only you end the call.
  • It's honest about limits: ChanTan doesn't make native iPhone or Android store apps today, and doesn't let you download the source code.

If the call drops

Nothing you said is lost. Your conversation is saved every 20 seconds, and the finished request is kept in three places at once.

What happens What you see / what to do
The connection wobbles It reconnects by itself, up to 3 times: "Reconnectingโ€ฆ" and "๐Ÿ“ถ Hold on โ€” reconnecting to the expert. Your conversation is safe."
The connection is really gone ChanTan writes your request from the conversation anyway and shows "The call ended โ€” your request is safe."
The expert says there's a green button but you can't see one After 2 minutes of talking, press "Write my request now". It forces ChanTan to write your request from the conversation so far. Or just press "End" โ€” the request is written when you hang up.
You closed everything Open the dashboard. A green banner offers it back: "๐Ÿ“ž Your expert call prompt is ready" with "Use it" and "Dismiss" โ€” available for 24 hours.

Honest limits

  • Most voice problems show a friendly message, but a few failures still show a raw technical line starting with something like HTTP 503: or HTTP 402:. That is not something you did wrong โ€” try once more. If it happens twice, note the time and write to support@chantan.studio.
  • A few voice messages appear in English even when the rest of your app is set to another language.
  • The call is for planning only. To change an app you've already built, talk to the AI in the project chat instead.
